If you’ve ever thought about leaving your 9-5 and starting your own business, then this episode with Roger “Dodge” Woodall is for you.

Nowadays everyone seems to be an “entrepreneur” and the internet and social media channels are full of so called experts and business coaches dishing out mediocre advice and over-priced coaching.

Which is why this conversation with Dodge Woodall was so refreshing (and has to be one of my personal favourite episodes so far). Dodge is a natural-born entrepreneur with a flair for spotting opportunities, finding new categories (niches) and creating win-win situations. A real people person with a confident, easy-going nature, Dodge has a knack for peppering his business stories with streetwise life advice and down-to-earth philosophy that makes so much sense. From growing up over a busy London pub and flogging tickets, ice creams, hotdogs and unwanted toys for cash aged 10, to running over 1500 student nightclub events in the 90’s and 00’s, Dodge is a business pioneer who loves to create unbeatable experiences for his customers.

In this highly enjoyable conversation we cover:

  • How Dodge’s unconventional upbringing taught him the game of business
  • How to recognise your strengths and double down on them
  • How Dodge pioneered the concept of student night events nationwide
  • Upping his game to create the world’s first music and sport festival and nearly losing his house in the process
  • Dodge’s advice if you want to leave your 9-5 and start your own business
  • And so much more

Even though I’ve been an entrepreneur for over 2o years, I absolutely loved this conversation with Dodge, and learned a lot. And when I listened for a second time to crate the show notes, I felt just as fired up as the first time round!

So a huge thanks to Dodge for his time and dropping his business knowledge and I encourage you to listen to and share this episode as it might just change your life.
